Erik ten Hag wasted no time in taking charge of Manchester United. When the Dutchman took over as head coach, he almost immediately began to set his own rules.
The British edition of Express reports that before the start of the season, ten Hag demanded that five Manchester United players vacate their places in the dressing room.
The dressing room at the training ground in Carrington is only designed for 24 players, so the coach needed to make room for the team’s newcomers.
Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Teden Menji, Brandon Williams and Shola Shortire were forced to vacate their seats.
After this turn of events, Tuanzebe and Shortire went on loan to other clubs, while Jones, Williams and Menji remained at Old Trafford with no prospects for a place in the starting XI.
