Denis Glushakov’s first top club was Lokomotiv Moscow. The footballer ended up there in 2005. The midfielder began playing for the main team in 2008. In his first season, he scored four goals. In 2009, Glushakov scored three goals, and in 2010 – one. In the 2011/2012 season, Denis Glushakov made his debut in European competition with Lokomotiv, namely in the Europa League. The football player himself scored 11 goals in the Russian championship and three goals in the UEFA Europa League. The next season was less productive – one goal in the Russian championship.

Denis Glushakov was called up to the Russian national team even under Dick Advocaat in 2011. In his first match, the national team played a 1-1 draw with Qatar. At the same time, Denis Glushakov scored his first goal for the Russian national team in October 2011 in the selection for Euro 2012. Then Russia defeated Andorra with a score of 6:0.

Since the 2013/2014 season, Denis Glushakov has been playing for Spartak. It was with this club that the midfielder won his main trophies. At the end of the 2016/2017 season, the red-and-whites became the champions of Russia, and Denis Glushakov was recognized as the best player of the season. It was then that the phrase “This is a funeral” stuck with him. In the summer of 2017, Spartak also won the Russian Super Cup by beating Lokomotiv. In the 2017/2018 season, the situation has changed. There was a period when the football player went to the double of Spartak. In the end, Denis Glushakov also did not get into the final application of the Russian team for the 2018 home world championship.

In 2019, Denis Glushakov moved to Akhmat and spent one season there, scoring four goals in the Russian Championship and two in the Cup. The midfielder spent the next two and a half seasons in Khimki. During this time, he entered the field in 56 matches of the Russian championship and scored 13 goals. In the Cup of the country, the footballer played nine matches and scored one goal.
