Replenishment in the ranks.
Andy Murray and Nicola Sturgeon had an interesting tweet after the tennis player reacted to Sturgeon’s resignation as First Minister of Scotland.
Sturgeon became First Minister of Scotland in November 2014 and served for three terms before announcing her resignation on 15 February 2023.
Andy Murray could not pass by this event, who stated on social networks that he would like to become a politician when he finishes his career.
“Interesting position. Would love to get into politics when I’m done playing,” Andy Murray tweeted.
Sturgeon was obviously surprised by Murray’s words, but did not remain silent.
“I know what I said, they say I won’t support anyone as my successor, but…,” the ex-politician wrote on her page.
By the way, Nicola praised Murray for reaching the fourth round of AO a month ago:
“In terms of determination and sportsmanship, he is an outstanding athlete. This is a huge merit of tennis, sports, and, of course, Scotland. Well done Andy, we are all proud of you,” she wrote.
