It would be an honor!
Pele, the legend of world football, died today.
In a 2014 interview, Pelé was asked which club he could play for now. His answer should melt the heart of every Barcelona fan.
“I would name two or three teams. But for now, I would say Barcelona. It’s the same style that Santos used to play,” Pelé told Time.
Given the style of attacking football that Barça played in 2014, Pelé would fit in perfectly. Unfortunately, Europe has not been able to see how Pele makes football better week after week.
Pelé spent most of his career in Brazil, playing for Santos from 1956 to 1974. Then he played for two years in the USA in the New York Cosmos, after which the striker announced his retirement.
