Zlatan has already played in it.
On Sunday, Milan confidently dealt with Atalanta – 2:0. The team of Stefano Pioli scored the fourth dry victory in a row in a new fourth kit.
For the first time in 9 months, Zlatan Ibrahimovic appeared on the field – and immediately in a new outfit.
This set is part of a capsule collection that Milan and Puma launched in collaboration with Parisian fashion brand Koché.
The familiar red and black stripes are here in a pixelated, 8-bit design.
“Pixels are the atoms of digital images. They can be reminiscent of 8-bit games, nostalgic early internet graphics, and take on a modern form in the form of cryptopunks that are at the center of pop culture today,” notes Marco Müller, senior unit manager at Puma.
The connection with the gaming industry will not be abstract – from March 8, they promise to use the design of the kit in the popular game Rocket League – a mixture of football and racing. This is the first time that a European football club kit has been integrated into this game.
The collection was presented as part of Milan Fashion Week, which is taking place these days.
In addition to the red and black kit, the capsule included a golden goalie uniform (also with a pixel design), shorts and a pre-match jacket.
“It’s the perfect embodiment of the club’s ambition to become a trendsetter,” says Milan’s chief revenue officer Kasper Stilsvig. “By combining our red and black colors with gold and modern design, the kit combines heritage and innovation. This is a testament to Milan’s ability to bring football and fashion together in a reliable and authentic way.”
